Customer Service Job Opportunities At CVS

August 6th, 2009 sandy49 No comments

Happy FaceIf you’re seeking a part-time or full-time hourly job with CVS, consider a customer service job.  Some people mistakenly believe this position is the easiest because it is an entry-level job. I’m here to tell you that’s not so!

As a customer service employee you will be responsible for a variety of duties which lead directly to providing great customer service to your customers so they feel like CVS has met all their expectations. One minute your duties may be be to work the cash register, and the next, you may be directed by management to stock merchandise or help a customer find what they need.

What you must also understand about this important job is that you are usually the first person a customer sees and/or interacts with, so a pleasant, friendly disposition is an absolute must if you want to have any success.

There is no doubt you’ll find unhappy employees no matter where you find a job. At my local CVS, for example, sometimes I cringe at the checkout register while watching a disgruntled employee muttering under her breath that the manager is making her work too much. This employee is a fairly recent addition because I’ve been their customer for a couple of years; needless to say, this attitude will catch up to her one day and be her demise because CVS prides themselves on the absolute greatest customer service

The absolute best part of this CVS job is the chance to really dig into how the store actually operates. Don’t hesitate to ask your manager questions about the store’s operational process during non-peak hours; you just may be in his or her shoes one day if you learn the tricks of the trade and play your cards right!
